The Latest US Attacks Against the Islamic Republic of Iran Come to an End

TAMPA, Florida — U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) concluded another round of attacks against Iran at 9:00 p.m. Eastern Time on July 20.

U.S. forces targeted Iran’s military command centers, maritime capabilities, missile and drone launch sites, and air defense systems, to reduce Iran’s ability to continue attacks on commercial vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz.

Commercial ships transiting through this vital international maritime passage are still continuing to pass. Since early May, CENTCOM forces have helped facilitate the passage of approximately 900 commercial vessels and 450 million barrels of crude oil.

U.S. forces remain in position and ready to hold Iran accountable because of its unjustified aggression against nonmilitary mariners who are seeking free and unobstructed passage through this strait.
