A group of Social Security retirees in Shushtar, on Sunday, 4 Mordad, held a gathering in front of the Social Security office in this county to protest the state of their living conditions and the fact that their claims have gone unanswered.
The protesters demanded the implementation of Article 96 of the Social Security Law, an increase in pensions proportional to the actual inflation rate and the costs of the living basket, full implementation of the alignment of benefits, and the payment of all arrears.
Free and high-quality healthcare services and the removal of the heavy costs of supplementary insurance were among the other demands raised during this gathering.
The retirees also asked the Commission of Article 90 of the Parliament and its head, Nassrollah Pejmanfar, to look into the complaints and petitions they have registered.
Participants in the gathering, by chanting the slogan “We will not live under oppression,” emphasized their continued efforts to pursue their union and livelihood-related demands.
