Zelensky: The initial results of criminal investigations into the ammunition depot explosion in Vyshneve show that some senior officials of state defense industry companies, by violating the law and orders from the Supreme Commander, had allowed ammunition to be stored near residential areas.

The heads of two state companies and several security officials are now under investigation.

Specific individuals have been identified, and the government’s position is that all of them must be held accountable. During wartime, wrong decisions or even inaction can directly cost human lives.

The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and the Prosecutor General will also examine other defense companies in the country, and the government will strengthen oversight of the companies under Ukroboronprom and their managers to prevent the repetition of such a catastrophe.
