🔸The US Central Command, CENTCOM, announced early Sunday, 4 Mordad, that Iran’s naval blockade remains in place “fully,” and that US forces have changed the course of 12 commercial ships that intended to pass through this blockade as of this day.
🔸According to a CENTCOM statement, US forces also stopped two ships that did not comply with orders, and boarded two other ships to ensure full compliance with the blockade.
🔸CENTCOM added that on Saturday, American forces entered the “Charminar” oil tanker with the flag of Comoros in the Arabian Sea for inspection and verification, and that the tanker continued its voyage after the inspection was completed.
🔸The statement also said that on Friday, 3 Mordad, American forces stopped the “Lavin” tanker with the flag of Mozambique in the Sea of Oman—an action, according to CENTCOM, carried out after several attempts by the ship’s crew to violate the blockade and disregard repeated warnings.
🔸US Central Command announced that this tanker is no longer heading toward Iran, and that US forces remain on full alert.
