The UK Maritime Trade Operations Center announced on the evening of Thursday, 26 Shahrivar that it had received a report of an incident involving a ship in the Strait of Hormuz, 16 nautical miles northeast of Khasab, Oman.

Based on this alert, the crew is safe and, as of the time the report was issued, no environmental impact has been confirmed.

The center said that authorities are investigating the incident and asked passing ships to transit with caution and report any suspicious activity.
