The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations Agency said that a vessel in the waters of Oman caught fire.

Based on the agency’s alert, a report of the incident was received on Sunday night by military authorities, and the cause of the fire has not been confirmed so far. The agency advised ships to transit with caution and to report any suspicious activity.

The location of the incident was announced as the northernmost point of the Musandam Peninsula in Oman and at the entrance to the Strait of Hormuz.
