U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, rejecting the United States returning to a deal with the Islamic Republic, said, “In many ways, that ship has sailed from the port.”

He told Fox News that the main issue is that the Islamic Republic must never obtain nuclear weapons, and that as long as they continue to pursue such weapons or claim that they want them, they will pay the price.

Mr. Rubio added that this price will be mostly economic, but as we have said, we reserve the right to take military action if necessary; not only to protect ourselves, but to prevent them from being able to threaten others as well.
