〰 U.S. Army: Today American forces stopped and inspected an oil tanker named M/T Charminar, which was sailing with the Comoros flag, in the Arabian Sea.

After the inspection was completed, the vessel was allowed to continue on its route.

SENTCOM also confirmed that yesterday it had halted the oil tanker M/T Lavine, flying the flag of Mozambique, in the Gulf of Oman, because its crew repeatedly tried to violate a maritime blockade against Iran and did not heed repeated U.S. warnings.

The ship is no longer heading toward Iran.

SENTCOM added that, to date, U.S. forces have:

- diverted 12 commercial vessels that intended to pass through the blockade. - halted 2 vessels that disobeyed orders. - inspected 2 other vessels to ensure they are complying with blockade rules.
