🔶 U.S. airstrikes on central areas of Iran

Following a new round of military tensions in the region, official reports from inside Iran indicate that the scope of attacks by U.S. forces has extended to central areas of the country as well.

According to IRNA, the Central Province governorate said that in the early hours of Sunday, 21 Tir (12 July), an area in Khondab County was targeted by projectiles from the “enemy.” The Central Province governorate added that an accurate estimate of the human and property damage from the incident is being assessed by the relevant experts.

IRNA also, in its report about the attacks this morning, said that the main focus of the U.S. army was on southern areas and Iran’s coastline.

Meanwhile, a reporter for IRIB reported that the U.S. army fired 7 projectiles in Bushehr, within the area of its military bases, 5 projectiles in Deyr County, and 4 projectiles in the strategic area of Asaluyeh.

The security deputy of the Khuzestan governorate also said that the counties of Hendijan, Mahshahr, and Abadan were targeted by projectiles.
