🔺The Wall Street Journal: Time is working against the Islamic Republic

▪Six months after the start of the battle over the Strait of Hormuz, The Wall Street Journal reported that time is increasingly working against the Iranian government.

▪The newspaper wrote that the Islamic Republic had hoped that by disrupting the transport of one-fifth of the world’s oil, it would create a broad economic crisis and force the United States to accept its conditions; however, this calculation has failed so far.

▪According to this report, oil prices, despite rising, have remained below $100, and regional countries continue to move a significant portion of their exports with support from the United States.

▪The Wall Street Journal added that meanwhile, the U.S. naval blockade has effectively prevented the export of Iranian oil and targeted the government’s most important source of foreign currency.
