🔶 The New York Times: The U.S. concealed injuries to dozens of its soldiers in clashes with Iran
The New York Times, citing several U.S. officials who asked not to be named, wrote that the U.S. Department of Defense (Pentagon) did not disclose that dozens of American soldiers were injured and that several helicopters of this country were damaged in last week’s attacks by Iran.
A U.S. military official, in an interview with this U.S. newspaper, asked: “Why should the Pentagon release information that could help Iran to fine-tune its attacks?”
Another military official also said that the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) is not required to publish information about casualties and the injured, especially if the injured personnel are quickly returned to their duty station.
In the latest round of clashes with the Islamic Republic, three U.S. military personnel have been killed.
