The film “A Bit of Light,” directed by Ali Asgari and starring Misaq Zare, Sadaf Asgari, Furuzan Jamshidnejad, Ramtin Deigh and Mina Rahimzadeh, has made it into the main competition section of the 83rd Venice International Film Festival and will compete for the Golden Lion at this event.

The official website of the Venice Film Festival announced that the film “A Bit of Light” with the English name “A Bit of Light” will be screened in the main competition section of this edition.

This 87-minute film, a co-production of Iran, Switzerland, Italy, Canada and Turkey, written by Ali Asgari and Shadmehr Rastein and produced by Milad Khosravi, will have its world premiere in the main competition section of the Venice Film Festival.

The story of the film is about a doctor in Iran who, after being detained and having his clinic shut down, loses hope for the future and decides to end his life, but spending a day alongside his family members shakes his decision.

The 83rd Venice International Film Festival will be held from 11 to 21 Shahrivar 1405 on the Lido Island in Italy.
