Steven Cheung, the White House communications director, said in a statement: "Given the combination of successful sanctions that have paralyzed Iran’s economy and 13 consecutive days of attacks on military targets in response to their repeated aggressions, it is reasonable for Iran to seek to reach a negotiated agreement. Otherwise, they know what will happen."
