Reuters, citing CBS reporter Jennifer Jacobs, reported that several U.S. military aircraft were damaged in overnight attacks on the Al-Sultay Air Base in Jordan.

According to this report, an attack aircraft “E-10 Thunderbolt,” also known as “Wartog,” was targeted and lost one of its wings.

About eight “F-15” fighter jets also suffered minor damage, but then returned to service afterward.

The report was published after the Islamic Republic said that it targeted the U.S. military base in Jordan with ballistic missiles. Jordanian officials had previously said that this country’s air defenses intercepted 18 of the 20 missiles that were launched and that the other two missiles landed in non-residential areas. At the time, the United States also announced that all of its forces were in good health.
