◾ After about three years in prison, Mehdi Farid was executed on 2 Ordibehesht 1405. According to the official account of the Islamic Republic, he was accused of “corruption on earth” through espionage for Israel. In the official account, little personal identifying information about Mehdi Farid was released, and it was only stated that his father’s name was Amanollah and that he himself worked in the “non-military defense unit of a sensitive organization.”
