Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of Türkiye, in a telephone call with Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, with reference to developments in the Middle East, emphasized that Ankara “will continue its peace-oriented diplomatic initiatives to end tensions between Iran and the United States and similar conflict trends in the region, and will never accept or endorse attacks on friendly countries in the region.”

According to a statement from the Communications Center of the Presidency of Türkiye, during this call Erdoğan also stated that bilateral cooperation between Türkiye and the UAE, especially in the fields of defense industries and the economy, will continue at an accelerated pace, and the two countries are determined to develop their shared relations and coordinate on other regional and international issues.
