Qatari talks with Iran to reduce tensions

According to a knowledgeable diplomat, Qatari negotiators traveled to Iran with the coordination of the United States to meet with Iranian officials. This trip is an effort to reduce tensions and provide conditions for the resumption of negotiations.

The diplomat also said that meetings between Qatari and Iranian officials in Tehran are still ongoing, but it is “clear that both sides want to return to the memorandum of understanding (MOU).”
