In response to a question about Israel’s objective in continuing its confrontation with the Islamic Republic of Iran, Netanyahu said: “We will defeat this regime,” and added that what he meant by “defeat” was the overthrow of the Iranian government. He described the government’s situation as unstable and said, “Right now, too, it rests on shaky foundations.”

The Israeli prime minister also, in response to a question about the role of the head of Mossad, said that all of Israel’s institutions operate under his direction to “overthrow this regime and defeat it.”
