Mehdi Chamran, chairman of Tehran City Council, said that if the war continues, the budget for some urban projects, including road paving, curbstone installation, and painting, may be removed and resources will be allocated to essential priorities.
Chamran also said that the review of the bill to build shelters and the continuation of the review of the bill supporting the people in the war between the United States and Israel are on the agenda of the City Council meeting. He said that the City Council’s approach to the people-support bill is not military and that the intention was not for military forces to be stationed in citizens’ places of residence; because this could expose those areas to attack and harm the people.
