Jordan’s army announced that it intercepted and destroyed four missiles fired by the Islamic Republic that had entered the country’s airspace. According to Jordan’s official news agency, a statement by the army on Monday said that the attack caused no human casualties or material damage.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps had previously claimed that in the missile and drone attack on a base inside Jordan, it set important ammunition depots and fuel tanks on fire.
In the early hours of Sunday, Jordan’s army also announced that three missiles fired by the Islamic Republic had landed in several places in the country, causing minor material damage and no casualties.
The Jordanian government emphasizes that it hosts no foreign military bases, but that limited forces from several countries are present in some of the army’s bases within the framework of cooperation agreements.
