Jassim Mohammed al-Badawi, Secretary-General of the Cooperation Council of the Arab States of the Gulf, strongly condemned the Houthi attacks on civilians and facilities in the south of Saudi Arabia, and called for the international community to take a firm and deterrent stance against these attacks.

Al-Badawi said the Houthi attacks on the south of Saudi Arabia have deliberately targeted civilians, the country’s national capabilities, and civilian facilities, leading to injuries of a number of civilians.

He called these attacks a clear violation of international laws and norms, and said their repetition shows that the Houthis oppose efforts to achieve peace and stability in Yemen.

The GCC Secretary-General emphasized: “Targeting civilian facilities and the countries’ capabilities is a terrorist act that is condemned and cannot in any way be justified or conceded in the face of it.”

Al-Badawi added that the continuation of the Houthi attacks is a direct threat to regional and international security and peace, and called on the international community to hold the perpetrators and supporters of these attacks accountable.
