Israeli intelligence assessment suggests that the Islamic Republic has transferred thousands of nuclear centrifuges to Mount Keling and placed them deep underground.
This move makes it more difficult to target these nuclear facilities in airstrikes.
The Wall Street Journal, citing U.S. and Israeli officials, reported that Israel told the United States that its information shows Tehran carried out this transfer last fall, after the June 2025 12-day war— a war in which the U.S. used B-52 bombers to attack the Islamic Republic’s underground nuclear facilities.
U.S. President Donald Trump said last week: “Mount Keling is a potential target for a major, heavy attack, right near the entrance door.”
The U.S. president added at the time: “We don’t see any activity there. They’re not doing well in terms of their nuclear status... We will probably attack Mount Keling as well soon.”
CNN also reported earlier this month that satellite images show the movement of trucks into and out of the Mount Keling facilities.
