🔶 Israel’s Security Cabinet approved limited entry of international force into Gaza

An Israeli official told The Times of Israel that the country’s security cabinet has approved the limited entry of the “International Stabilization Force” (ISF) into Gaza, as part of a plan being pursued for the region by the Peace Initiative. Itamar Ben-Gvir, Israel’s Minister of National Security, voted against the plan, while Gideon Sa’ar, the foreign minister, supported it.

According to the report, the proposal under discussion focuses on creating a humanitarian pilot zone in Rafah, in the south of Gaza.

In this area, Israeli forces will withdraw and the international stabilization forces— which have not yet been fully deployed—will replace them.

The aim of the plan is an initial transfer of a group of Gaza residents who have previously undergone security screening and are intended to be moved out of areas under Hamas control.

So far, Hamas has opposed disarming itself, as envisioned within the twenty-point plan for Gaza by Donald Trump.
