Islamic Republic of Iran’s energy minister reports limited water resources in Tehran and warns about the coming winter.

Abbas Aliabadi said: “Unfortunately, the situation of water resources in some provinces is still less than normal conditions. For example, Tehran is facing some difficulties.”

Aliabadi added that rainfall is not sufficient and “given the current resources, we cannot allow excessive consumption.”

Regarding the cold season, he said: “This year’s winter will have particular conditions. We hope that severe cold will not occur, but during the war, damage has been done in various sectors, including in the fuel sector, and it must be compensated.”
