🔸Fars News Agency, around midnight Tehran time, reported the start of Iran’s retaliatory missile attacks on U.S. military bases in Jordan.

🔸This comes as, following the start of U.S. attacks on targets in Iran, the global price of oil increased by five percent. The price of Brent crude reached 94 and a half dollars per barrel. The price of U.S. West Texas Intermediate also crossed the $90-per-barrel mark.

🔸The increase in the oil price over the past two days has intensified alongside rising tensions between Iran and the United States and attacks on several oil tankers in the Strait of Hormuz. Previously, after U.S. officials announced that tankers had passed through the route under the surveillance of that country’s army in the Strait of Hormuz, the oil price had fallen.
