Government news agency Mehr reported on Wednesday evening, 24 Tir, that “minutes ago” Hormuz Island was hit by a missile, and attributed the attack to the United States.

The Hormozgan provincial governor’s office also confirmed that they heard the sound of an explosion at the time.

So far, no U.S. agency or official has confirmed or denied the claims made by the Islamic Republic media.
