🔶 End of the ninth wave of U.S. attacks on Iran and IRGC attacks on “U.S. positions” in several countries

The U.S. Central Command, CENTCOM, said it had ended its ninth consecutive night of attacks against Iran that began on the evening of Sunday, 28 Tir (July 19). In a statement it released, CENTCOM said the attacks targeted Iran’s command centers, air defense systems, coastal surveillance sites, naval capabilities, missile and drone launch sites, and communications networks in order to further reduce Iran’s ability to attack commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz.

CENTCOM said that, at the order of Donald Trump, the commander-in-chief, “it holds Iran responsible for its actions, and CENTCOM forces remain at the highest level of readiness, focused, equipped with high combat capability, and prepared to carry out operations.”

Earlier, in a statement on Sunday, CENTCOM had reported the death of a U.S. soldier on July 18 during “a controlled explosion to neutralize an unexploded munition belonging to an Iranian suicide drone that was shot down” in northern Iraq, and said that in the incident, another service member was also injured.
