Despite the Islamic Republic officials’ claim that some desalination facilities in southern Iran were targeted, the Minister of Energy announced that all desalination plants in the region are operational.

Abbas Aliabadi, during a trip to Hormozgan province, claimed that the United States “targeted infrastructure and facilities that are directly connected to people’s lives.”

He also alleged that “we have been able to manage the situation and keep services stable” and that “all desalination plants in the region are in operation.”

So far, an attack on desalination plants in southern Iran has not been independently confirmed by the United States or other independent sources.

In recent days, the Islamic Republic has repeatedly attacked Kuwait’s electricity and desalination facilities, while on Saturday the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, in a statement, claimed: “For now, we have selected military targets to respond to the enemy.”
