Danny Danon, Israel’s ambassador to the UN, called New York mayor Zoharan Mamadani “antisemitic” on his X page.

Danon wrote to Mamadani: “If someone is to be detained, it’s you; because you send your representatives—and antisemitism—to meet with the ambassador of the Islamic Republic at the UN.”

Earlier, Mamadani had said he was considering the possibility of detaining Benjamin Netanyahu, the prime minister of Israel, if he travels to this city to attend the United Nations General Assembly.
