🔶 CENTCOM: After the IRGC fired at our ships, we attacked three Iranian oil tankers

U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed America’s attacks on three Iranian oil tankers in a statement and warned that “if necessary, it will destroy Iran’s tankers, which are limited and vulnerable.”

CENTCOM says these attacks were carried out after the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps fired at two U.S. warships.

In its statement, CENTCOM said the tankers were part of a shadow network that helped fund the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and its proxy groups in the region.

The United States announced that one of the tankers was targeted near Khark Island and the other near Jask. A tankers with no cargo was also targeted in the Gulf of Oman.

In a statement from the U.S. Army, it was also stated that an aircraft carrier and a U.S. destroyer, while patrolling in the region, “fled from several Iranian attacks,” and none of the U.S. forces were harmed.”
