🔻Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel’s prime minister, and Israel Katz, the country’s defense minister, announced that the Israeli army has completely destroyed a Hezbollah underground network in the strategic area of al-Tayr hill in southern Lebanon.
The Israeli army said its forces, after taking operational control of the area, carried out operations to destroy Hezbollah’s underground routes, both on the ground and underground. According to the army, the network extended for more than two kilometers.
On Thursday evening, Benjamin Netanyahu posted a video related to these explosions on social media and referred to it as an operational success.
The Israeli army says that dozens of rockets and missiles, drones, anti-tank missiles, mines, and explosive materials were found in this complex. It also says that the network included a command center belonging to Hezbollah’s Badr Unit, which contained command rooms, weapons stockpiles, and the location where personnel were housed.
In their joint statement, Netanyahu and Katz said this infrastructure was built over more than two decades with funding and planning by Iran and was supposed to be used for operations against Israel.
