According to information received by Iran International, government officials in Golestan Province prevented the holding of a birthday ceremony for Jaavidnameh Shahrām Bāghiyān in Gorgan on Thursday, 19 Shahrivar.

During telephone calls, the officials summoned members of Shahrām Bāghiyān’s family and then threatened them.

They also obtained a commitment from the family of this Jaavidnameh not to hold the ceremony. 20 Shahrivar is Shahrām Bāghiyān’s birthday, who was killed at age 56 during the crackdown on the protests in Dey in Golestan.
