According to a report received by Iran International, Leila Maalemi, a political prisoner sentenced to 10 years in prison by the Revolutionary Court, has been transferred to Section One for dangerous offenses in Vakilabad Prison in Mashhad.

On Sunday evening, one of the inmates in this section carried out self-harm and threatened Leila Maalemi, who suffers from a heart condition. Following this incident, Leila Maalemi’s condition deteriorated, but prison officials did not transfer her to a medical facility.

Leila Maalemi was detained in Mashhad on Khordad 7 of this year and transferred to Vakilabad Prison. She has a heart condition and does not have adequate access to prison medical and health services.
