🔶 About 150,000 people in Germany are free despite an arrest warrant
In a response the German government gave to a parliamentary question from the Green Party of this country, nearly 150,000 people in Germany who have arrest warrants are still moving around freely and have not been detained.
According to the German government’s response, among these individuals, nearly 100 are considered “dangerous,” meaning that, according to Germany’s security authorities, they may carry out serious political crimes, such as terrorist attacks.
According to this report, the police in Germany, as of July 1, were searching for 148,311 people for whom an arrest warrant has been issued at the national level.
Since some of these people are being pursued in multiple different cases, the total number of outstanding and unexecuted arrest warrants reaches 170,667 cases. However, this figure has remained almost unchanged compared with the previous year.
