Ukraine targeted two Russian oil tankers of the “shadow fleet” in the Black Sea

The Ukrainian Intelligence Service (SBU) and the country’s navy said they had targeted two Russian tankers belonging to the “shadow fleet,” named “Luiz 1” and “Banda,” in the Black Sea using sea drones.

The operation was carried out to disrupt Russia’s oil exports from routes used to circumvent sanctions. Exports, Kiev said, help finance Moscow’s war machine.
