〰 U.S. Central Command statement: Central Command has brought a new round of attacks against Iran to an end.

In this seven-hour operation, dozens of military targets near the Strait of Hormuz and in coastal areas of Iran were hit. U.S. fighter jets, drones, and naval vessels used precision-guided munitions to target Iran’s missile and drone bases, as well as its naval capabilities and coastal defense systems, in order to further weaken Tehran’s ability to threaten commercial ships and non-military crews. These attacks were carried out at the same time as the resumption of Iran’s naval blockade; a blockade that, starting at 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time, has been implemented against ships heading to or departing from Iranian ports and coasts. U.S. forces remain at the highest level of readiness and are prepared to carry out any orders from the president.
