🔶 Israel confirms next round of talks with Lebanon in Rome Gideon Sa’ar, Israel’s foreign minister, confirmed that the next round of talks between this country and Lebanon will take place in the coming week in Rome, Italy. He said on Tuesday, July 7, at a joint press conference with the German foreign minister in Jerusalem: “Less than two weeks ago, Israel, Lebanon, and the United States reached a historic framework agreement. These talks are expected to be held next week in Rome, [the capital] of Italy.” Sa’ar also emphasized that Israel has “no ambitions or territorial claims” toward Lebanon. Hours earlier, Italy’s foreign minister had announced that talks between Israel and Lebanon are expected to be held in the city of Rome. Antonio Tajani, Italy’s foreign minister, wrote in a post on the X network: “With pleasure we announce the next round of talks between Israel and Lebanon, which will be held in Rome with the mediation of the United States.”
