🔻Football 360 reports that Amir Ghalenoei has asked for a monthly salary of 15 billion tomans to sit on the bench of the national team until the Asian Cup: «Ghalenoei is complaining about the federation’s financial offer for a contract of around 30 billion tomans, without taking into account the bonus amount.»
🔹Considering the 6-month contract extension proposal that has been made to him, this figure brings Ghalenoei’s total contract to 90 billion tomans.
🔹This salary is being discussed while Ghalenoei and his assistants, in the past 7 weeks, have not attended any of the top-level matches of Iranian football’s Premier League, not even big games, in person.
🔹Football 360 wrote that «Amir is upset that his financial proposal has “so far” not been accepted by the Football Federation and that his contract has not been formally signed, and for that reason he has not been willing to follow Premier League matches in person at stadiums.»
🔹Fars News Agency, affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, has rejected reports about Ghalenoei’s 90-billion-toman request: «So far, neither Ghalenoei nor the federation officials have held a meeting regarding determining the head coach’s salary and members of the coaching staff until the end of the Asian Nations Cup.»
