😐 Fathollah Tavasoli, a member of the Economic Commission of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, on disruptions in the banking system:
The Ministry of Economic Affairs also doesn’t know what has happened to the banks. 😁
A citizen who goes to a bakery to buy bread is unable to pay for the purchase; a patient in a hospital cannot pay their treatment costs; and a passenger on the way to travel has trouble obtaining car fuel. People’s cheques are not being cashed and no one is accountable.
He added: It is not yet clear exactly what happened—that is, whether the country’s banking system has been targeted by cyberattacks or whether things like installing unauthorized add-ons and “hacking” have occurred, and whether the round-the-clock efforts to resolve the disruption have failed to prevent this situation from recurring.
Tavasoli emphasized: This process has caused parts of people’s lives to be disrupted; in such a way that the services provided are mostly in the form of card-to-card transfers, but issues such as “cheques,” “installments,” and many other matters are still facing problems in the banking system, and people remain involved.
