Donald Trump, the President of the United States, said on Friday that he has instructed the military to be prepared if the Islamic Republic government assassinates the U.S. president or attempts to do so, and to carry out attacks on positions in Iran.

Mr. Trump wrote on Truth Social: “1,000 missiles are ready to launch and are targeted at the Islamic Republic of Iran, and thousands more missiles will immediately follow if the Iranian government acts on its threat, which has been announced in many corners of the world, to assassinate or attempt to assassinate the sitting President of the United States of America, in this case, me!”

He added: “The orders have been issued in advance, and the U.S. Army, for a period of one year, with the possibility of extension, is prepared, willing and able to completely smash and destroy all of Iran’s regions.”
