🔶 Axios: Trump informed Israel it will send dozens of refueling aircraft
The U.S. news outlet Axios, citing three U.S. and Israeli officials, wrote that the administration of Donald Trump, the U.S. president, has informed Israel that, ahead of a possible expansion of military operations against Iran, dozens of additional refueling aircraft will be sent to the country.
As Axios wrote, after on Tuesday, July 14, at a “Situation Room” meeting at the White House, Trump was given several new military plans, he is considering a large-scale offensive operation against Iran—an operation whose scope could extend far beyond current attacks around the Strait of Hormuz.
Axios characterized the options under review as including strikes on Iran’s infrastructure, such as power plants; further attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities aimed at burying—more deeply—the stockpiles of enriched uranium; and bombing the underground facilities of “Mount Pikass,” also known as “Mount Kolding,” near the Natanz nuclear complex, which, according to American officials, could be the site of a nuclear facility under construction.
