At the same time as “revenge” rhetoric has intensified in the media and government institutions, a mural featuring an image of Donald Trump and the slogan “We will kill Trump” in Persian and English has been installed in one of the squares in Tehran.

The mural is being published while Donald Trump had previously warned that if the Islamic Republic were to carry out an attempt on his life, the United States would respond with a “strong and destructive” reaction. In recent weeks as well, officials of the Islamic Republic and media outlets close to the government have repeatedly spoken about “revenge.”
