“Gholamhossein Mohseni Eje’i,” head of the Judiciary of the Islamic Republic, described his objective as “eradicating corruption and imperialist streams” during the funeral ceremony for Ali Khamenei, and said that the revenge-seeking slogans chanted by attendees at the ceremony were raised with the aim of preventing the repetition of “criminal acts by the enemy.” Eje’i claimed that the people of Iran want those responsible for what he called “wartime and non-wartime crimes” to be dealt with in such a way that no one would dare to repeat such actions again.
