🔶 Wall Street Journal report on Lindsey Graham’s role in the Iran war

Based on a report from The Wall Street Journal, Lindsey Graham, the late Republican senator, had said in an unreleased film that Donald Trump at the beginning of the Iran war was satisfied with his decision to launch the attack. In the film, which The Wall Street Journal has seen, Graham said that after the war began Trump told him that it was “the best thing” he had done.

The Wall Street Journal reported that in a conversation with Jake Sullivan, the national security adviser to President Joe Biden, Graham had expressed doubts about the roles of Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff in diplomatic efforts in the Middle East.

He said he could not carry forward this process with Kushner and Witkoff because, according to him, they were “too conflicted,” and that the mission should be assigned to Marco Rubio, the U.S. Secretary of State.

According to this report, in March Graham had intended to go to Florida to persuade Trump to have the United States join the Israeli campaign against Hezbollah.
