🔻 Violence increases in the West Bank; six Palestinians and an Israeli killed in clashes

After a major clash that resulted in the deaths of four Palestinians and two Israelis, Israeli settlers attacked several Palestinian areas in the occupied West Bank. The rise in violence has heightened concerns about the expansion of the fighting.

The Israel Defense Forces said it has launched extensive operations in the region.

Benjamin Netanyahu, the prime minister of Israel, also said that in response to these developments he ordered the establishment of more bases for settlers, the destruction of homes, and the cancellation of work permits for Palestinians.

The creation of such bases is illegal under international law.
