The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs said that in the month of September, at least 18,000 families and, in total, 125,000 people have been displaced in Yemen.

The report emphasized that the number of civilian casualties is also continuing to rise.

The UN humanitarian coordination office, noting that it has provided assistance to thousands of displaced people, warned that due to shortages, stocks of relief supplies have dropped critically.

The office also recalled that, because of violence, the movement of aid workers and aid shipments in several areas along Yemen’s western coast has been halted.

Tensions in Yemen have escalated in recent weeks, with the start of a new round of attacks by Houthi insurgents supported by the Islamic Republic against the country’s legitimate government, as well as against Saudi Arabia’s non-military and economic infrastructure.
