🔺UAE President’s adviser: Rebuilding trust with the Islamic Republic will take decades

▪The adviser to the President of the United Arab Emirates said that a functional relationship with the Islamic Republic can be repaired, but rebuilding trust may take decades.

▪Anwar Gargash, on Monday, at the Hili Association in Abu Dhabi, said: “A functional relationship with Iran can and should be rebuilt, but rebuilding trust is another matter.”

▪Gargash said the UAE is creating alternative routes for its energy exports and trade. He said: “Our energy exports are not being held hostage, and neither are our trade and economic activities.”

▪Based on what he said, the UAE has expanded the capacity of its eastern seaboard ports as well as pipelines, railways, and trade routes to create alternative corridors.
