🔸The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) says that American forces have changed the routes of 99 commercial ships until September 20 (September 11) to “ensure the full implementation” of Iran’s blockade.
🔸On Saturday, CENTCOM wrote on the social media platform X, publishing an image of a U.S. Navy Sea Hawk helicopter landing on the deck of the USS Boxer, saying that the Boxer Amphibious Ready Group and the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit remain involved in carrying out this blockade.
🔸At the same time, The Financial Times reported that the United States has asked oil tankers intending to transit the Strait of Hormuz to move only during specific hours so that its military protection can be guaranteed.
🔸According to the newspaper, since May Washington has been providing air support to ships sailing along the coast of Oman; however, after an increase in Iran’s attacks on vessels moving at night, the protection period from early September has been limited to two specific time windows each day.
