Two films from Iran’s unofficial cinema to be screened at the 83rd Venice Film Festival

🔸The Venice Film Festival announced on Thursday, the 2nd of Mordad, the names of the films selected for its different sections for the 83rd edition. Two feature films from Iranian cinema will be shown in two sections—Competition and Horizons.

🔸The Venice Film Festival is referred to as the oldest film festival in the world and, alongside the Cannes, Berlin, Locarno, Sundance, and Toronto festivals, is considered among the most important film events of the year.

🔸This year, the film “A Little Light,” directed by Ali Asgari, as a production of Iran, Switzerland, Italy, Canada, and Turkey, is among the 20 films selected for screening in the Competition section of Venice.

🔸In Horizons, considered the festival’s second most important section and which is competitive, the film “Be Careful,” directed by Mohsen Qarai, will be screened.
