🔶 Trump calls on Europe to return the “hundreds of billions of dollars” in U.S. aid to Ukraine

Donald Trump, the president of the United States, called on European countries to return to the United States the costs of aid payments made to Ukraine during the presidency of Joe Biden, the former U.S. president.

In a post on his social media platform Truth Social, Trump, stating that America provided “hundreds of billions of dollars” in grants to Ukraine, wrote: “This is money that Europe could have paid, if only they had been asked.” He added: “We will collect this money, even if with a little delay!”

Last year, the United States and NATO launched an initiative called the “Ukraine Priority Needs List,” under which NATO member European countries and Canada pay for the provision of American weapons for Ukraine.
